Anse Louis is a small, scenic bay on the west coast of Mahé, a green and peaceful stretch of coast near the larger bay of Anse à la Mouche. The hills rise steeply behind it, giving the elevated properties their sweeping views over the sea, and the water here is calm and the sunsets memorable, away from the busier north of the island. It is a quiet, largely residential part of the coast, with local restaurants and the beaches and viewpoints of the south and west, including Anse Soleil and Baie Lazare, within a short drive. The airport and Victoria are each a reasonable drive away. Mahé is the main island, home to the airport and most of the country's people.
