Seychelles Wedding FAQ
Everything you need to know about getting married in Seychelles — from costs and documents to beach choices and legal recognition. SeyBooking.com handles all formalities so you can focus on your special day.
All-inclusive beach wedding packages start from €1,645 on Mahé (discounted from €1,920), €1,990 on Praslin, and €2,090 on La Digue (discounted from €2,720). Every package includes the registrar, all government fees, wedding decoration (gazebo or arch), cake, sparkling wine, bridal bouquet, and your official marriage certificate with Supreme Court apostille. Photography, videography, bridal styling, and live musicians are available as optional add-ons.
Significantly cheaper. An all-inclusive beach wedding in Seychelles costs from €1,645. For comparison, the average wedding cost in Germany is €15,000–€25,000, in the UK £20,000–£30,000, and in the US over $30,000. A Seychelles destination wedding gives you the ceremony, the legal paperwork, and a honeymoon destination all in one — at a fraction of the price.
No. Every cost is listed transparently on our wedding packages page. Government fees, registrar fees, and the apostille are all included in the package price. Add-ons are priced individually and you choose which ones you want.
Yes — and this is unique to SeyBooking. We are also Seychelles’ leading car rental company. We offer discounted rental cars bundled with wedding packages. Automatic vehicles with full insurance, unlimited mileage, and free airport delivery start from €50 per day. See our car rental page.
Yes. There is no residency requirement. Any foreign couple can marry legally in Seychelles with a valid passport and apostilled birth certificate. The legal system is based on British common law, and Seychelles marriages are recognised internationally in over 120 countries.
A valid passport, apostilled birth certificate, and depending on your country, a celibacy or certificate of no impediment. Some countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium) also require a celibacy or certificate of no impediment. If previously married, bring a divorce decree or death certificate. All documents must be in English or French and apostilled. See our complete documents guide.
Yes. We offer an Attested Marriage Documents Package (€140–€160) plus UAE Embassy Attestation (€85). Your marriage is fully registered and recognised in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. This is particularly popular with interfaith couples and expatriates who face difficult requirements in their country of residence.
Yes. If you are travelling as a couple without guests, we provide two complimentary witnesses from our team — free of charge with every package.
The civil ceremony is conducted by the Seychelles registrar in English, French, or Creole — your choice. The marriage certificate is issued in English.
Yes. You can have a civil ceremony on the beach for legal purposes and a separate religious ceremony — whether Christian, Islamic (Nikah), or other — at a church, mosque, or beach location. We can arrange both. See our Islamic Wedding page for Muslim ceremonies.
Every month is suitable. Seychelles sits outside the cyclone belt with temperatures between 24°C and 32°C year-round. The calmest, driest periods are April to May and October to November, with low humidity and gentle breezes. December to March is the warm season and most popular with European couples. We recommend booking your preferred date at least 2 months ahead during peak season.
Start gathering your documents 2–3 months before the wedding. Apostilles can take several weeks depending on your country. Submit scanned copies to us at least 14 days before the ceremony. For peak season dates (December–March), we recommend booking 2–3 months ahead to secure your preferred beach and date.
Mahé is the most practical — it has the international airport, the widest choice of beaches, the most hotel options, and our Luxury package starts at €1,645. Praslin is home to Anse Lazio, consistently rated one of the world’s most beautiful beaches — a dream backdrop for wedding photos. La Digue offers the most intimate atmosphere — a car-free island with ox carts, the iconic granite boulders of Anse Source d’Argent, and a pace of life you will not find anywhere else.
Yes. Seychelles is one of the few countries in the world where civil weddings can legally take place on a beach. The ceremony is 100% official and your marriage is recognised worldwide. You choose the beach — we handle the permit and the entire setup.
Most nationalities do not need a visa to enter Seychelles. A visitor’s permit is issued on arrival for up to 3 months. You need a valid passport, proof of accommodation, a return ticket, and sufficient funds for your stay. No special vaccination is required.
Travel insurance is not mandatory for entry to Seychelles, but we strongly recommend it — especially a policy that covers wedding-related expenses in case of flight cancellation, illness, or other unforeseen events.
