Anse Soleil is a small, sheltered cove on the south-west coast of Mahé, reached down a steep road and regularly named among the loveliest beaches on the island. The water is calm and clear, excellent for swimming and snorkelling, and the setting is green and quiet. Baie Lazare, Anse Intendance and the craft studios of the south-west are close by, and the airport and Victoria are about forty minutes away. Anse Soleil is a small, sheltered cove on the south-west coast of Mahé, reached down a steep side road off the west-coast road, and regularly named among the most beautiful beaches on the island. The water here is calm, clear and shallow, excellent for swimming and snorkelling, and the beach is backed by green hills, quiet and away from the crowds. Nearby are Anse Soleil's own little beach café, the neighbouring Petite Anse and Anse aux Poules Bleues, and the artist studios and craft village of the south-west. The airport and Victoria are about forty minutes away by car. Mahé is the main island, with the widest choice of beaches and restaurants, and a hire car is the easy way to reach this quieter coast.
