Villa Kiki sits on the hillside above Anse Louis, on the scenic west coast of Mahé, a small guesthouse of around eight rooms with a memorable view. It holds an excellent 4.7 stars from more than one hundred and ten reviews. Amazing views from the property, an impressive infinity pool and a home-like feeling in a luxurious setting are what fill the reviews, along with a kitchen and staff that guests genuinely rave about.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped, cleaned daily, with air conditioning and a fan, and the whole place is beautifully kept and gives that rare mix of a home-away-from-home warmth in a genuinely upscale setting. The standout is the outlook, wide views over the coast from the property and an infinity pool that guests describe as impressive, a lovely spot to relax with the west-coast scenery laid out in front of you.

The food and the service lift it further. There is a restaurant on site that guests praise for genuinely delicious food, and the staff are described again and again as warm and attentive, going out of their way with thoughtful little touches, one couple writing of a birthday made special by the care laid on. If we are nitpicking on their behalf, one guest felt breakfast could be a little more varied, but the welcome and the setting more than carry it.

Anse Louis is a small, scenic bay on the west coast of Mahé, a green and peaceful stretch of coast near Anse à la Mouche. The hills rise steeply behind it, giving the elevated properties their sweeping sea views, and the water here is calm and the sunsets memorable, away from the busier north of the island. It is a quiet, largely residential part of the coast, with local restaurants and the beaches and viewpoints of the south and west, including Anse Soleil and Baie Lazare, within a short drive. The airport and Victoria are each a reasonable drive away. For a hillside guesthouse with an infinity pool and a fine view on Mahé, Villa Kiki is one we are glad to recommend.
