Hotel · Anse Reunion, La Digue

✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerChâteau St. Cloud is a characterful hotel set in a green garden at Anse Réunion, on La Digue, a former plantation house turned into a hotel of around twenty-four rooms. It holds 4.3 stars from more than two hundred and eighty reviews. A fairytale garden setting, a lovely pool and a genuinely warm welcome are what guests come back to.
The rooms are spacious, spotless and well maintained, and cleaned daily, set among the gardens and the old plantation buildings rather than on the beach. There is a pretty pool, a restaurant with a good breakfast and dinners guests praise, and well-kept bicycles for hire, which is how everyone gets around on car-free La Digue. To be straight, the hotel is a short ride from the beach rather than on it, but guests who booked with that in mind found it a real find.
The service is the heart of the reviews. Guests describe being welcomed at the gate with a refreshing drink, and a team that is friendly, always smiling and quick to help, from a stuck bike lock to a forgotten wallet. That warmth, in a fairytale forest setting, is what guests remember most about La Digue.
La Digue is the third of the main islands, a small, slow, mostly car-free place where bicycles and ox-carts set the pace, reached by a short ferry from Praslin or Mahé. Anse Réunion is on the west coast, near the main village of La Passe and the jetty, and a short ride from the island's famous beaches, above all Anse Source d'Argent with its granite boulders. For a characterful, welcoming hotel in a beautiful garden setting on La Digue, Château St. Cloud is one we are glad to recommend.

We were offered a refreshing drink and checked in very quickly. From the moment we entered, we were amazed by the fairytale-like scener

Just perfect! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. The restaurant and bar were equally clean and hygienic, which made the whole experience even more comfortable. I was a bit unsure about booking this place at first, especially since it’s not right on the beach, but it turned out to be a fantas

A gem of a hotel on La Digue. Great location, easy to base from and get around on the bikes. The pool is lovely, the surroundings in the forest lovely too. The staff are nothing short of fantastic! We had issues with a bike lock, and hotel staff came to the rescue, just great. And even more helpful, when I left my wall

Anse Réunion is on the west coast of La Digue, close to the main village of La Passe and the jetty where the ferries come in, which makes it a handy base on this small, slow island. La Digue is largely car-free, and the way to get around is by bicycle or the occasional ox-cart, with the whole island easy to explore in a day or two. Just south lies L'Union Estate and Anse Source d'Argent, the island's most famous beach, a run of pink sand and huge granite boulders, and Grand Anse and Petite Anse are over on the wilder east coast. La Digue is reached by a short ferry from Praslin, or a longer one from Mahé, and bicycles are for hire everywhere near the jetty.
