You walk in through a gap in the forest and the temperature drops a few degrees. The canopy closes overhead. The path is a raised boardwalk, the kind that protects the floor underneath, and the floor underneath is where the magic is.

There is no substitute. This forest does not exist anywhere else on earth. If you are in Seychelles and you skip Vallée de Mai, you have missed the one thing that is ours and only ours.
