✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerSurfers Cove is a small set of self-catering apartments perched above the water at Bel Ombre, on Mahé's north-west coast, and it holds a rare perfect five-star rating for good reason. Guests describe ocean views from every room that they struggle to overstate, spotlessly clean apartments and bathrooms, a fabulous balcony and a lower terrace with loungers for sunbathing, and a sense, echoed again and again, that the place genuinely lives up to its glowing reviews rather than just its photos.
The hosting is a big part of it. Barbara and her husband are named warmly as lovely, attentive hosts who make the stay effortless, and they stock the apartments with the kind of thoughtful extras that guests rave about, snorkelling gear, water shoes, kayaks and life vests among them. The apartments are fully equipped for self-catering, and reviewers repeatedly call the whole thing excellent value for what you get.
The setting is quiet and scenic. The coast here is rocky rather than a swimming beach, but strikingly beautiful, and the view stretches out over the ocean, with Beau Vallon visible in the distance. A grocery store is about a minute away, supermarkets around five minutes on foot, and a proper swimming beach is a couple of minutes by car or roughly a ten minute walk.
One practical note guests pass on, the access road is narrow, so an SUV or smaller car is the comfortable choice for the drive in. Beyond that, there is very little to qualify, which is exactly why Surfers Cove holds its 5.0 rating, a clean, beautifully positioned, generously equipped and genuinely well-hosted base that guests say they would gladly return to.

The apartment is right next to the beach. Though rocky on this side but it's beautiful still. There's snorkeling gear for use at the apartment and we u

I loved everything about Surfer's Cove. The location is perfect and the views are stunning. The apartment overlooks the ocean and you can see Beau Vallon from the house. The beach is a 2 minutes drive or a 10 mins walk. Supermarkets are a 5 minutes walk. The apartment has all amenities that one would need - fully equip

Bel Ombre sits on the north-west coast of Mahé, just around the headland from Beau Vallon, a hillier, quieter stretch of coast steeped in local legend as the supposed hiding place of the pirate treasure of Olivier Levasseur. It is a scenic, residential area rather than a resort strip, with a rocky, dramatic shoreline and easy access to the calm swimming and the restaurants of Beau Vallon just minutes away. Victoria is around fifteen to twenty minutes over the hill, and a hire car makes the most of a base here, though buses run along the coast.
