Mount Simson is a quiet hillside area on north Mahé, above the coast near Beau Vallon and Bel Ombre. The draw here is the remove from the road rather than a busy village core. Two beaches sit within walking distance, the nearer one a 7 to 8 minute walk down and away from the main road, quiet and isolated. Bus stops are about a 5 minute walk, so getting around without a car is workable. Even so, a car opens up the north coast and Victoria, and the hosts arrange rental and an airport transfer, which makes the hillside location easy to settle into on arrival.
