Just across the street is a quiet beach, with shops and bus stops close by. Glacis sits north of Beau Vallon, a short run from the busier part of the coast. The 4.9 is earned, and it is earned mostly by the people who run the place. There is no manufactured drawback here. What guests come back for is the sea-view terrace, the quiet beach opposite, and hosts who go out of their way.

Glacis runs along the north tip of Mahé, above Beau Vallon and its long stretch of sand. The beach directly across the street is quiet, and shops and bus stops sit within easy reach, so short trips do not need a car. Buses pass along the coast road, and the hosts hand out bus passes, which keeps getting around simple even without a rental. For the airport or the far south of the island a car helps. Berty and Amandine meet guests on arrival, so the first trip in is already taken care of.
