Inside, the villa is clean and well kept. Guests describe it as spotless and immaculate, tastefully decorated, a blend of modern comfort and the natural surroundings. It is well equipped for a self-catering stay. The rooms are bright and the sea is the view from the house, which is the reason most people book in the first place.
The host guests name is Tania, and the welcome is a recurring note. The owner greets arrivals with fresh fruit, juice and other thoughtful touches prepared ahead of the stay. Guests found her kind and the whole arrival easy. Alex called the host so kind, and Cosmina wrote about the fruit and juice waiting for them when they walked in.
Glacis keeps the villa close to the north of the island while staying quiet and private. The house stands between the coast road and the sea, so there is a constant background noise from traffic. Reviewers heard it and said it did not really bother them. It is also, as more than one guest put it plainly, not a budget option.

Glacis runs along the northwest coast of Mahé, north of Beau Vallon and a short drive from Victoria. The villa's beach is right in front of the house, so the water is a few steps away rather than a drive. Beau Vallon, with its longer stretch of sand, shops and restaurants, is a quick trip down the coast. A hire car helps here. The coast road runs past the door, which makes Victoria, the north tip and the beaches easy to reach, and it also explains the traffic noise guests mention. For a stay this close to the sea, most found it a fair trade.
