✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerLes Lauriers is a small, family-run hotel a step back from Côte d'Or beach on the north coast of Praslin, best known for its warm welcome and its celebrated Creole buffet. It is an intimate place of around twenty rooms, and it holds a high 4.7 stars from more than three hundred reviews. A friendly, personal feel, a pretty garden and some of the freshest local food on the island are what guests come back to.
The rooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable, some with an outdoor shower, set around a garden and a pool that guests with children particularly enjoy. It works as well for families as for couples, and the owners' eye for detail comes through. It is a modest, characterful place rather than a big resort, and that is much of its charm.
The food is the heart of the reputation. The Creole buffet is a genuine draw, with the freshest of local ingredients and home-made touches, and outside diners come for it as much as guests, alongside good mocktails and non-alcoholic options. To be straight, one or two guests note the service can be a little inconsistent and breakfast choice modest, but the warmth of the owners and the authenticity of the experience carry the reviews.
Côte d'Or, or Anse Volbert, is the liveliest beach on Praslin, a long sheltered bay with calm water, safe for swimming, and the launch point for many of the island's boat trips. Shops, dive centres and restaurants line the bay, and Anse Lazio and the Vallée de Mai are both a short drive away. For a small, welcoming family hotel with an authentic Creole kitchen by one of Praslin's best beaches, Les Lauriers has a character all its own.

I have not stayed here but I have frequently enjoyed the Creole buffet and mocktails. There is no fresher food. I highly recommend this hotel for service ( friendly welcoming owners and staff) and for authentic local experiences

Great value for money. Quality locally inspired food (love the home made jams), breakfast choice is a 'touch' limited. The creole buffet is a must. Friendly service yet inconsistent (room service with delayed change of towels). We stayed in the suite. It was spacious, confortable but hot water was available only one da

Côte d'Or, also known as Anse Volbert, is the main beach on the north coast of Praslin and the most sociable part of the island, a long, gently curving bay of pale sand with calm, shallow water that is safe and easy for children. Shops, dive centres and a good spread of restaurants line the road behind the sand, and a small island sits just offshore for an easy snorkel. Many of Praslin's boat trips, to Curieuse, Saint Pierre and La Digue, leave from the bay, and Anse Lazio, one of the most admired beaches in the world, is a short drive north, with the Vallée de Mai palm forest inland. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car or the island bus makes getting around easy.
