✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerLe Duc de Praslin is a boutique hotel a step back from Côte d'Or beach at Anse Volbert, on the north coast of Praslin. It is an intimate place of around thirty rooms and cabins rather than a large resort, and it holds a very high 4.7 stars from more than eleven hundred reviews. Guests describe a hotel with a soul, a blend of elegance, calm and genuine warmth.
The rooms are spacious, beautifully kept cabins, many with lovely views, and the property is decorated with real care and attention to detail. It sits moments from Côte d'Or, one of the best beaches on Praslin, with pristine white sand and calm water. The food draws as much praise as the rooms, and the kitchen is happy to cook around dietary needs, with the chef often coming out to check personally.
Service is the heart of the place. Guests describe the team as graceful, attentive and welcoming, the kind of staff who make a small hotel feel special, and it is the warmth as much as the setting that fills the reviews. It is a favourite for couples and honeymooners for exactly that reason.
Anse Volbert, or Côte d'Or, is the main resort beach on the north coast of Praslin, a long sheltered bay where many of the island's boat trips and activities begin. Shops, dive centres and restaurants line the bay, and Anse Lazio and the Vallée de Mai are both a short drive away. For an elegant little boutique hotel by one of Praslin's finest beaches, with food and service to match, Le Duc is a lovely choice and one we happily recommend.

Anse Volbert, also known as Côte d'Or, is the main beach on the north coast of Praslin, a long and gently curving bay of pale sand with calm, shallow water that is safe for swimming and easy for children. It is the liveliest part of the island, with a run of shops, dive centres and restaurants along the road behind the sand, and it is where many of the boat trips to Curieuse, Saint Pierre and La Digue set off. Anse Lazio, one of the most admired beaches in the world, is a short drive to the north, and the Vallée de Mai palm forest lies inland. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car or the island bus makes getting around easy.
