Beau Vallon is the long, calm beach on the northwest of Mahe, with the widest choice of places to stay and eat on the island.

Prices and availability swing with the season in Mahé. The dry, breezier months from May to September and the December holidays are the busiest, so the better rooms go first. Book a few months out for those, and you can often move faster on the quieter shoulder weeks.
