It is a resort of around sixty-five rooms, recently renovated, and it holds 4.6 stars from more than six hundred reviews. A beachfront position, beautiful sunsets and a warm, family-friendly feel are what guests come back to.
The rooms are spacious and modern, many refurbished with contemporary fittings, and the resort opens straight onto the beach. Guests praise the breakfast and dinner buffets for their variety, and the restaurant has a reputation of its own, with the executive chef singled out again and again. It is comfortable, well kept and easy, a good base for a beach holiday on Praslin whether as a couple or a family.

Côte d'Or, or Anse Volbert, is the liveliest beach on Praslin, a long sheltered bay with calm water, safe for swimming, and the launch point for many of the island's boat trips. Côte d'Or, also called Anse Volbert, is the main resort beach on the north coast of Praslin, a long, gently curving bay of pale sand with calm, shallow water that is safe for swimming and easy for children. It is the most sociable part of the island, with shops, dive centres and casual restaurants set back from the sand and a small island just offshore that you can snorkel out to. Many of Praslin's boat trips, to Curieuse, Saint Pierre and La Digue, set off from the bay, and Anse Lazio and the Vallée de Mai palm forest are both a short drive away. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car or the island bus makes getting around easy.
