Anse Kerlan lies on Praslin's north-west corner, next to the Constance Lémuria estate and within easy reach of two of the island's headline beaches. Its own beach is a quiet, local stretch of sand, while the celebrated Anse Georgette, a curve of pale sand and clear water on the Lémuria grounds, is close enough to walk to, a rare treat for a beach so often reached only by arrangement. Several supermarkets and small shops sit within walking distance, which makes self-catering easy, and the equally famous Anse Lazio is a short drive over the point. The Vallée de Mai palm forest, home of the coco de mer, is about fifteen minutes inland, and a hire car makes the most of this quiet, beach-rich corner of the island.
