The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, several with an ocean view and brand new furniture, and the beach and pool areas draw warm reviews. There is a restaurant with a good breakfast spread and a set dinner menu, and a spa offering massages. It is a relaxed, easy place to simply settle in, on a stretch of coast where there is little to do but enjoy the beach.
The service is the strongest theme in the reviews. Guests describe staff who are exceptionally friendly and helpful, quick to make the stay easy, with English spoken throughout. It is the warmth of the welcome, on a beautiful and peaceful beach, that guests remember most.
Anse Kerlans is on the north-west tip of Praslin, a quiet beach next to the stunning Anse Georgette, one of the loveliest in the country, which lies just around the headland. This is the calm, scenic end of the island, away from the busier resort strip of Côte d'Or, which is a short drive over the hill along with the shops and restaurants. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car makes the most of it. For a comfortable beachfront hotel on a peaceful Praslin beach, Castello Beach is one we are glad to recommend.
