La Passe is where every La Digue trip begins. The ferry from Praslin takes about fifteen minutes and lands a short walk from the door, so bags can be dropped and a beach reached within the hour. There are no cars on the island, so most guests walk or hire a bicycle, and both work well from here. The village keeps shops, cafés and the bike hire all close by. Anse Source d'Argent lies a flat ride south past L'Union Estate, while the quieter northern beaches sit a little further out for those willing to pedal.
