✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerChalet Bamboo Vert is a small, friendly guesthouse at La Passe, the main village of La Digue, an intimate place of around ten apartments set in a well-kept garden. It holds 4.4 stars from more than one hundred and eighty reviews. Good value, warm hospitality and a handy village location are what guests come back to.
Each apartment has its own bathroom, and the superior rooms are spacious, with a wide bed, good air conditioning, a fridge and tea and coffee refilled daily. The garden is well maintained, a resident tortoise sometimes wanders through, and the terrace is a pleasant spot to sit. It is a simple, comfortable guesthouse rather than a resort, with a good breakfast and bicycle hire on site, which is how you explore La Digue.
The welcome is the heart of the reviews. Guests describe wonderful, attentive people and genuine hospitality, with staff quick to recommend and happy to help. It is that friendliness and the good value, in an easy central spot, that guests remember.
La Passe is the main village of La Digue, where the ferries arrive and the island's shops, cafés, bicycle-hire stands and little harbour are gathered, so it is the most convenient base on this small, mostly car-free island. Bicycles set the pace here, and the whole island is within a day or two of easy riding. A short ride south are L'Union Estate and Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world, with its pink sand and granite boulders. La Digue is reached by a short ferry from Praslin or Mahé. For a friendly, well-priced guesthouse in the heart of La Digue, Chalet Bamboo Vert is one we are glad to recommend.

We had 5 nights in Chalet Bamboo Vert, and enjoyed it a lot. All appartments have own bathrooms. The superior room is spacious, the bed wide, the AC works well, there was a fridge and the possibility to make tea or coffee (refilled daily). The area is well maintained. Sometimes a tortoise visits the garden. The terra

Really lovely guest house. Service was always nice and friendly. Good breakfast. Bike rental for 75 SCR/day. Only down point for me is the unnecessary turtle pen, way too small and just… why?

La Passe is the main village of La Digue and the hub of island life, where the passenger ferries dock and the island's shops, cafés, bakery, bicycle-hire stands and small harbour are gathered. It is the most convenient base on this small, largely car-free island, where bicycles and the odd ox-cart set the pace and almost everywhere is within a gentle ride. Just to the south lie L'Union Estate, the old plantation with its giant tortoises, and Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world, framed by pink sand and huge granite boulders, while Grand Anse and Petite Anse are over on the wilder east coast. La Digue is reached by a short ferry from Praslin, or a longer crossing from Mahé, with bicycles for hire all around the jetty.
