✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerLe Repaire is a small boutique hotel and a much loved Italian restaurant at Anse Réunion on La Digue, the quiet island of ox-carts and bicycles. It is an intimate place, nine rooms rather than a big resort, and it holds 4.5 stars from more than eighteen hundred reviews, a number driven as much by the restaurant as by the rooms.
The nine rooms are comfortable and tastefully done, the sort of small, personal property where the welcome matters more than the length of the facilities list. Being on La Digue, everything is close and slow paced, and the hotel sits near the beach at Anse Réunion, an easy walk or cycle from the jetty. For couples who want somewhere calm and characterful rather than a large hotel, it fits well.
The restaurant is the heart of it, and it has a reputation of its own on the island. Guests describe genuinely good Italian food, wood-fired pizza, fresh pasta and Italian classics, served quickly by a friendly team in a beautiful setting with lights strung through the trees. More than one visitor calls it the best food on La Digue. Even if you are not staying, it is a place people book a table for.
La Digue is the third of the main islands and the most peaceful, reached by ferry from Praslin or Mahé and crossed mainly by bicycle. Anse Réunion is on the west coast, close to the jetty and a short ride from Anse Source d'Argent, the famous granite-and-palm beach that is among the most photographed in the world. For a small, characterful hotel with one of the island's best kitchens attached, Le Repaire is a lovely choice and one we happily recommend.

We went for dinner twice. There is a very nice atmosphere, very tasty food and kind servants. One day we order pizza, lasagne and salat which were great! The other day we ordered carbonara, Caesar salad and chocolate brownie for dessert. I can say maybe the best food in the whole island! Really worth trying or!

La Digue is the third of the main Seychelles islands and the quietest, a small place reached by ferry from Praslin or Mahé and crossed almost entirely by bicycle and ox-cart rather than car. Anse Réunion sits on the west coast, close to the ferry jetty and the village of La Passe, with shops, a few restaurants and bicycle hire all within reach. A short ride south brings you to Anse Source d'Argent, the beach of pink granite boulders and shallow turquoise water that is one of the most photographed in the world, and to the L'Union Estate. The pace is slow and the distances short, which is much of the island's charm.
