About La Modestie
The setting is quiet and green, with a couple of resident giant tortoises in the garden that guests, especially younger ones, tend to love. Breakfast is simple but good, laundry is available, and the whole operation is geared towards an unfussy, comfortable stay rather than a resort experience. A nice beach is about a five minute walk away, and the hosts happily book island trips, with a visit to the beautiful Anse Georgette a favourite recommendation.

The beach on this side of Praslin catches the wind, and several guests note plainly that it is not ideal for swimming even though it is pleasant to look at and walk along. Cleanest place in all Praslin, calm, ideal for à family with kids. But beach is very windy on that side of the island. Not good for swimming. They have two turtles on the site! Simple but good breakfast, Ashley is adorable and very helpful. We liked everything.
