The rooms are large, very clean and well furnished, with thoughtful details right down to a drying rack, and the beds are comfortable.
The hosting is personal and generous. Guests describe being welcomed by Mr Aya himself, looked after by kind, helpful staff, and owner Mrs Meruska is named warmly as gracious and attentive. More than one review calls the customer experience second to none, the sort of care that turns a good stay into a memorable one and has guests recommending the place without reservation.
The setting adds an easy garden calm. There is a nicely kept garden and a small but pleasant swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip at the end of the day, and the property sits conveniently close to the airport, a beach and a supermarket. In fairness, one guest flagged a logistics hiccup, a self-drive car they had arranged by phone was meant to be waiting at the jetty and did not materialise, with calls going unanswered, so it is worth confirming any car or transfer arrangements directly and in advance. Set against the hosting, the rooms and above all that standout kitchen, Villa Aya earns its 4.8 rating comfortably, one of the most warmly reviewed small stays on Praslin.

I had a wonderful stay in Villa Aya, Mr Aya actually welcomed me and all the staff are very nice and helpful. The room and the environment are super nice, the facility provide all I needed. The details of things like drying rack is very helpful. Room is very clean and bed is comfortable .

Amitié occupies a quiet, green stretch of Praslin's west side, close to the island's small domestic airstrip, which makes arriving by internal flight especially easy, and within reach of the long beach at Grand Anse. It is a residential, unhurried part of the island rather than a tourist strip, well suited to a peaceful stay, with the island bus and a hire car both making it simple to reach Praslin's headline sights. The Vallée de Mai palm forest, the celebrated beaches of Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, and the restaurants of the Côte d'Or are all a manageable drive across the island.
