La Digue Holiday Villas is a small cluster of self-catering villas set in a garden with a shared pool at La Passe, roughly a ten minute walk from La Digue's ferry jetty and conveniently placed midway between the port and the famous Anse Source d'Argent. Guests describe rooms that are clean, spacious and cosy, a beautiful garden, and a refreshing pool that reviewers single out as a highlight, especially at the end of a hot day exploring the island.

One feature comes up warmly again and again, the on-site restaurant. Guests describe genuinely kind people running it, a lady in the kitchen and her husband whom returning visitors say they already miss, and fresh breakfasts at very reasonable prices, around fifty rupees. A water dispenser, small but appreciated, and bikes to hire on site at the usual La Digue rate of about ten euros a day round out a practical, guest-friendly set-up.

The location does much of the work. Everything on La Digue is within reach by bicycle, and from here you can pedal to Anse Source d'Argent, the beaches and the village in well under half an hour. The host is described as friendly and helpful, generally available to sort out whatever guests need, which makes the small scale of the place a strength rather than a limitation.

In fairness, a couple of honest notes are worth knowing, the air conditioning is in the bedroom only, so the living area can feel hot, and the reception is not always staffed, so a little patience helps at times. Set against the garden, the pool, the restaurant and the location, most guests come away very happy, and the 4.7 rating reflects a comfortable, friendly and well-placed base for La Digue.

We had an amazing time in La Digue Holiday Villa. Probably the most surprising thing about this place was reasonably priced restaurant with really very kind people working there and we already miss them so much, especially the madam in the kitchen and her husband. We had fresh breakfast, for around 50 SCR we were given

Beautiful place nearby the ferry terminal, just 10mins to walk, the place was cozy, clean and the host very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the Water dispenser, which would cause the 6th Star if possible. We also got bikes there for about 10eur/day, common price for La Digue. Bikes were totally fine.

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean and spacious. It is fairly close everywhere and it takes less than 30-40 minutes to get anywhere on the island by bike that you can rent in the hotel. Can't recommend it enough 😃

Air Conditioning only in the room, the living room is nice but too hot to be enjoyed. Staff/Receptionist never at the desk - we ha

Getting there and the area

La Passe is the small main village of La Digue and the point where the ferries from Praslin arrive, a place of bicycles, ox-carts and almost no cars. Around the jetty you will find shops, cafes, bike-hire and the everyday services of the island, and from here the celebrated Anse Source d'Argent, reached through the old L'Union Estate plantation, is a short and scenic ride south. The wilder beaches of the east and the trail to Grand Anse lie a little further out, and the whole island is small enough to explore at a gentle, pedal-powered pace. The Praslin ferry takes about fifteen minutes.
