The resort runs to a hundred and fifty rooms and villas spread up the hillside, with several restaurants including Café Lazare and Windsong, part of which sits right on the sand, a spa, a dive centre, tennis courts and a large pool. There is enough space and enough on site that many guests never feel the need to leave, and the cove itself is calm and swimmable in a way that suits families as well as couples.
What comes through in the reviews is the service, a warm, genuinely friendly team across the restaurants, the beach and the front desk who make guests feel welcome from the first day. The resort is also popular with Seychellois themselves for a day pass, which is a good local sign, breakfast, the pool, the beach and the loungers all included for the day.
Baie Lazare is on the south-west of Mahé, a part of the island known for its beaches and its calm, about forty minutes from the airport and Victoria by car. Some of the finest beaches on the island, Anse Intendance and Petite Anse among them, are close by, and the resort's own cove is one of the prettiest on this coast.
