Red Palm Villas sits above Baie Lazare on the southwest corner of Mahé. Anse Soleil and Petite Anse are the closest beaches, small and sheltered, reached down narrow coast roads. Baie Lazare village has a few shops and the church landmark nearby. The villas stand on a hillside, so the view is the trade for the climb, and a hire car makes the stay far easier. Victoria and the airport are roughly an hour up the coast by road. Buses do run along the main road below, but for the beaches and for reaching the villas themselves, driving yourself is the practical choice. Plan for winding hill roads on the final stretch.
