✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerIndian Ocean Lodge sits by the long beach at Grand Anse, on the south coast of Praslin, a comfortable hotel set in a beautiful, well-kept tropical garden. It is a property of around thirty rooms, and it holds 4.4 stars from more than three hundred and sixty reviews. A peaceful garden setting, a beach across the road and food that guests keep mentioning are what they come back to.
The rooms are modern, spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds, and several look straight onto the pool. The gardens are the signature here, lush and exceptionally well maintained, giving the whole place a calm, relaxing feel. The food draws real praise, with a good variety across buffet and à la carte dinners, prepared with care and served well.
The service is the strongest theme in the reviews. Guests describe a team that is extremely friendly, attentive and genuinely kind, with the resort manager often greeting arrivals in person, a personal touch that sets the tone. More than one guest who moved here from another hotel notes the difference straight away.
Grand Anse is on the south coast of Praslin, a long, open beach backed by green hills, quieter and more local than the resort strip of Côte d'Or, and beautiful for a walk, though the sea here can pick up a swell. The stunning Anse Georgette and Anse Kerlans are a short drive away, and the Vallée de Mai palm forest lies inland. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car makes the most of the island. For a comfortable, welcoming hotel with beautiful gardens by a long Praslin beach, Indian Ocean Lodge is one we are glad to recommend.

What a lovely and clean hotel! The room was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, and the food was delicious. One day there was a buffet, and the next day we enjoyed an à la carte meal. A special thanks to the lovely lady, Emy, who always came to chat with us. The rest of the staff were also extremely friendly. Th

Grand Anse runs along the south coast of Praslin, a long, open sweep of pale sand backed by green hills, the island's more local, everyday side rather than a resort strip. It is beautiful for a walk and a sunset, though the sea on this exposed coast can pick up a swell, and swimming is easier at some states of the tide than others. The village has shops, a few restaurants, the island's schools and clinic, and the ferry jetty at Baie Sainte Anne is a short drive. On the west side, a short trip away, lie Anse Georgette and Anse Kerlans, two of the loveliest beaches anywhere, and the Vallée de Mai palm forest is inland. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car makes the most of it.
