Bed & Breakfast · Beau Vallon, Mahé
★★★★★ 4.6 (94 Google reviews)
✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerGeorgina's Cottage is a long-standing bed and breakfast at Beau Vallon on Mahé, and its great asset is where it stands, directly across the road from the beach on the island's liveliest bay. Guests describe spacious, clean rooms, some with a porch that looks straight out over the water, and a location that puts the sand, the restaurants, the bars, the dive centres and a grocery all within an easy walk. For being this close to Beau Vallon at this kind of price, most reviewers count it a find.
The hosting gets warm marks. Staff are called professional and genuinely helpful, and the breakfast, while described as simple, is fresh and leaves guests satisfied without being heavy. It is an unpretentious, well-located B and B rather than a full-service hotel, and guests who arrive expecting that tend to be happy with what they find.
Honesty is fair here, because guests are candid about two things. Being across from a popular restaurant and bar means the evenings can be noisy, and more than one reviewer cheerfully advises bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Water pressure in the showers can also be weak, a common issue on the island but worth flagging. Neither point stops people recommending the place, but both are worth knowing before you book.
Weigh it honestly and Georgina's Cottage is what its 4.6 rating says, a friendly, spacious, superbly located beachfront B and B with a lively night-time soundtrack and modest plumbing. For travellers who want to walk out the door onto Beau Vallon and do not mind a bit of evening buzz, it is an easy and good-value choice.

Georgina's place is a wonderful bed and breakfast in Beau Vallon, western part of Mahe. It is directly across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants, bars, and grocery. The room was spacious and clean, and our room had a porch overlooking the bay. The bar across the street was noisy in the evening, but quie

Professional staff. Great location. A breakfast that leaves you satisfied without feeling stuffed. The only problem is that it is across the street from a very lively restaurant, there’s also quite excellent. Bring earplugs.

We stayed here me and my wife. Excellent experience. The rooms are clean, good space. The staff were very helpful and nice. Although it seems that it is far from the center, the location is actually really good. It is literally just next to the beach, some of the best restaurants of beau vallon as well as the diving ce

Great place to stay if you visit Mahe. Great location (across Beau Vallon beach), excellent service, very tasty, fresh breakfast. Stuff very helpful and nice. Only thing that is missing is water pressure(but that's depending on lotsof other things). Overall, great 👍 They have my all recommendations ☺️

By the beach. Good location. Very simple breakfast. Not much service. They do the beds but not clean towels. Shower water weak, A/C needs help.

Beau Vallon is the busiest and best-known beach on Mahé, a long sweep of sand on the north-west coast with calm swimming for much of the year, a strip of restaurants and bars, and the island's main diving and watersports operators. From a spot directly across the road you are on the sand in seconds, and a small supermarket, the in-season Saturday food market and boat trips to the marine park are all close by. Victoria is about fifteen minutes over the hill, so buses are frequent and a hire car is a bonus rather than a necessity here.
