Beautiful, comfortable bungalows, a garden that guests call a little paradise and hosts who make everyone feel at home are what fill the reviews.
The bungalows are lovely, spacious and clean, set among an amazing tropical garden so lush and quiet that guests are surprised to find such a hidden gem so close to the village. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for slowing down into island time, and everything you need for an independent stay is there. Many reviews describe it as the one place they would choose again on La Digue.
The hosting is the heart of it. Costas and Paola, the hosts, are named again and again as fantastic, kind and endlessly helpful, the sort who make a stay genuinely comfortable and warm from arrival to departure. Guests write of leaving with only the best impressions and of an atmosphere that stays with them long after. It is that heartfelt, family welcome that lifts a beautiful garden into a place people love.
La Passe is the main village of La Digue, the small granite island just east of Praslin, where the ferries come in and island life gathers, with its shops, cafes, bike-hire, a few restaurants and the harbour all close together. La Digue is a slow, largely car-free island where the bicycle is king, and from La Passe it is a short, flat ride to L'Union Estate and the famous Anse Source d'Argent, or north to the quieter coves of Anse Patate and Anse Sévère. The ferry links La Digue to Praslin in minutes and on to Mahé. For a beautiful garden self-catering stay a walk from the jetty on La Digue, Domaine les Rochers is one we are glad to recommend.

We stayed at Domaine Les Rochers in La Digue in January and absolutely loved our stay. Our bungalow was beautiful, very comfortable, clean, and surrounded by the most amazing tropical garden, it truly felt like a little paradise. The atmosphere of the property is peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying the island

It is a compact, walkable village of shops, cafes, a few restaurants and takeaways, bike-hire stands and the harbour, all close together, and it is the natural base for exploring the island. La Digue is a slow, largely car-free island where almost everyone travels by bicycle or on foot, and from La Passe it is a short, flat ride to L'Union Estate and the celebrated Anse Source d'Argent, or north to the quieter coves of Anse Patate and Anse Sévère. The ferry links La Digue to Praslin in minutes and on to Mahé, the main island with the airport.
