✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerConstance Ephelia stretches across a headland at Port Launay, on the north-west coast of Mahé, wrapped around two beaches and a marine national park. It is one of the largest resorts in the country, more than three hundred rooms and villas set in well kept gardens across a big estate, and one of the highest rated, 4.7 stars from close to four thousand reviews. The scenery, guests say again and again, is extraordinary.
The scale is part of the appeal. There are eleven restaurants and bars, several pools, a large spa, a dive centre and a spread of rooms that runs from garden rooms up to family villas with private pools and their own villa host. Because the property is so large you can always find a quiet corner, and even at busy times guests report no trouble finding beach chairs or a peaceful spot. Rooms are comfortable and kept spotless, and the kitchens are happy to work around dietary needs, vegan and otherwise.
Service is a strong theme in the reviews, from villa butlers and hosts to the restaurant and bar teams, described as world class and consistently warm. Breakfast, especially at Corossol, gets singled out often. For a resort this size to hold a 4.7 says a lot about how well the team runs it.
Port Launay is on the north-west of Mahé, framing one of the calmest bays on the island and bordering the Port Launay marine park, which is excellent for snorkelling straight off the beach. It is about forty-five minutes from the airport and half an hour from Victoria. The setting is green and sheltered, backed by the hills of the Morne Seychellois national park. For a large luxury resort with real variety, beautiful grounds and service to match, this is one of the island's benchmarks and one we are glad to recommend.

Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were graciously upgraded to a family villa with a private pool, which was perfectly prepared for our arrival with a baby bed and bath. Our villa host, Goodwick, provided world-class service, and the entire team including Dina and Asumani was a

I recently visited Constance Ephelia in Seychelles specifically for breakfast at Corossol, and it completely exceeded all expectations. It was hands-down one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve ever had — the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all exceptional! From the moment we walked in, Hendrick and Brigi

A special thank you to Chef Manoj, Baburam, the Thai Chef at Adam & Eve, and the chef at Cyan for consistently preparing amazing vegan food for our family. Port Launay sits on the north-west coast of Mahé, on one of the most sheltered bays on the island and beside the Port Launay marine national park, where the snorkelling begins a few metres off the sand. It is backed by the green hills of the Morne Seychellois national park, the largest protected area on Mahé and a good base for walks. The bay is calm and shallow, well suited to swimming and to families, and boats leave from nearby for trips around the coast. It is about forty-five minutes by car from the airport and half an hour from Victoria, the capital, where the market, shops and restaurants are. A hire car makes the most of this quieter corner of the island.
