The Area
Pointe Cabris is a green headland on the south-east coast of Praslin, above the village of Baie Sainte Anne, the island's main harbour where the ferries from Mahé and La Digue arrive. It is a quiet, elevated corner with long views over the sea to La Digue, Félicité and the smaller islands, away from the busier north-coast beaches yet central to the island. From here the whole of Praslin is within easy reach, the beaches of Côte d'Or and Anse Lazio, the boat trips to Curieuse and St Pierre, and the Vallée de Mai palm forest a short drive inland. Praslin is the second-largest island, reached from Mahé by a short flight or the fast ferry into Baie Sainte Anne just below.
