About Colibri
- A family guesthouse on the waterfront at Pointe Cabris near Baie Sainte Anne, run by the family since 1995. The register lists Beverly Burian Parmentier as manager.
- Chef Philip has cooked here for more than 22 years: Creole dishes with a French note, from founder René's French heritage.
- The fish comes from the guesthouse's own fisherman, Louange. Fruit, vegetables and spices come from the garden, where every plant was planted by hand by Bernadette.
- The family has lived in 'The Yellow House' since 1965. It was built in 1936, with a grocery shop of the Moosa brothers on the ground floor.

The grounds are green and well kept, and the setting is calm, the kind of quiet, natural spot that suits a relaxing stay. Breakfast and dinner get good reviews, fresh and well prepared.
The welcome is what fills the reviews. Guests describe being greeted with a refreshing drink, a cool cloth and even a coconut on arrival, and a team that is warm and helpful throughout. To be straight, one or two guests felt a special occasion could have been marked a little more, but the beauty of the setting and the genuine kindness carry the stay.
Pointe Cabris is on the south-east coast of Praslin, a quiet, green corner about ten minutes from the ferry jetty at Baie Sainte Anne, which makes it an easy base for boat trips to La Digue, Curieuse and the smaller islands. The beaches and shops of Côte d'Or are a short drive away, and the Vallée de Mai palm forest lies inland. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé. The Area
Pointe Cabris sits on the south-east coast of Praslin, a quiet, green headland above the sea, about ten minutes by car from the ferry jetty at Baie Sainte Anne. That makes it a handy base for the island's boat trips, to La Digue, Curieuse and its giant tortoises, and the smaller islands. The coast here is calm and residential, with wide views over the water, and the resort beach of Côte d'Or, with its shops, dive centres and restaurants, is a short drive to the north. The Vallée de Mai, the UNESCO palm forest where the coco de mer grows, is inland, and Anse Lazio is on the far side of the island. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car makes the most of it.
