The rooms and villas are spread across a green hillside above the water, and the resort has a perfect beach with loungers, calm water for swimming and the protected marine park all around. It is a private, unhurried island escape rather than a big resort, yet very easy to reach, and there is even a day pass for visitors who want the beach, the amenities and lunch. To be straight, one or two guests find the restaurant menu a little limited, but the setting and the service more than make up for it.
The service is the heart of the reviews. From the boat crew who greet you at Eden Island to the restaurant team, staff are named again and again as kind, hardworking and always on hand, and the chef is singled out for going out of his way. It is that warmth, on a beautiful little island, that guests remember and return for.
Cerf Island is one of the small granite islands in the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, a short boat ride off Victoria on the east side of Mahé, so it is private and quiet yet very close to the main island. The marine park all around is protected water, calm and full of fish, good for snorkelling straight off the beach, and the neighbouring islands can be visited by boat. Across the water are Victoria, the beaches of Mahé and the airport, all close by. For an easy-to-reach island resort in a marine park off Mahé, Cerf Island Resort is one we are glad to recommend.

A perfect 10 day stay at Cerf Island. The staff were excellent especially the staff in the restaurant who were all just so kind, helpful and all round brilliant. Prakesh was also excellent and again was on hand when ever we needed anything. The resort was everything we hoped for and we had a fantastic holiday.

Cerf Island is one of the small granite islands in the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, the cluster of islands just off Victoria on the east side of Mahé, reached by a short boat transfer from Eden Island. It is green, low-key and largely car-free, home to a couple of small resorts and restaurants, and it feels secluded while staying only minutes from the main island. The marine park all around is protected water, calm and rich in fish and coral, excellent for snorkelling from the beach, and the neighbouring islands of Sainte Anne, Round Island and Moyenne can be visited by boat. Across the water are Victoria, the small capital, the beaches of Mahé and the international airport, all within about half an hour. Mahé is the main island, and the boat transfer to Cerf is part of the experience.
