Belle Amie is a small, family-run self-catering guesthouse in the residential part of Anse Réunion on La Digue, set a little up the hillside above the bus stop, and it holds a lovely 4.5 from around sixty guests. One couple called it their favourite place in the whole of the Seychelles, praising an extremely spacious room with everything they needed and a warm, friendly welcome that runs right through the reviews.

The rooms and the value are a strong draw. Guests describe generously sized rooms, even the smallest still spacious, a roomy terrace to sit out on, and a nice breakfast arranged each morning with coffee or tea, juice, fresh fruit, toast and eggs, with housekeeping keeping things tidy. Reviewers repeatedly call the value for money very good. One honest, practical note, the kitchen is separate from the room, which most guests found no problem at all.

Being a genuine family business is part of the charm. Guests name the hosts warmly, with Marchan, Laura, Dave and Julie all thanked for being excellent and helpful, and describe a place run with real care. The team arranges transfers and bike rental and will even pick you up and drop you off at the pier. As one reviewer put it honestly, the place is not entirely without the odd issue, but you can clearly see that as a small family business they care about solving problems and doing right by their guests.

On location, Belle Amie sits in a quiet residential village stretch, roughly a hundred metres above the bus stop and about a kilometre from the port, slightly elevated and breezy. Combined with a hire bicycle, guests say it makes a perfect starting point for exploring La Digue. Between the spacious rooms, the good value, the caring family hosting and the peaceful setting, the 4.5 rating reflects a warm and genuinely welcoming base, and reviewers recommend it highly.

It is central located and combined with a bike this is a perfect starting point for exploring La Digue. Highly recommended

We had the smallest of the rooms but still spacious enough for us. Very helpful host, which helped us with the transfer and bike rental. The kitchen was separate from the room but that was no problem for us. The breakfast they arranged each morning had coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruit, toast and eggs. The room was cleane

Getting there and the area

Anse Réunion is the green, settled stretch of La Digue just south of the ferry village of La Passe, and Belle Amie sits in its quieter, more residential upper part, a little way up the hillside above the coast road and the bus stop. That gentle elevation buys a breeze, a bit of a view and real calm, a step removed from the busier shorefront while still close to everything. A hire bicycle, which the hosts help arrange, opens up the whole island, from the famous Anse Source d'Argent, reached through the old L'Union Estate plantation, to the wilder beaches of Grand Anse in the east, while La Passe with its shops, restaurants and jetty is a short ride down to the north. The Praslin ferry crossing takes about fifteen minutes.
