Description

Five-star private-island resort · Félicité

A private island of granite, forest and barefoot luxury.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon has the whole island of Félicité almost to itself, a dramatic landscape of giant granite boulders, tropical forest and clear turquoise water a short hop from La Digue. Guests arrive by boat or helicopter to a resort of pool villas scattered across the hillsides and shoreline, each one private, spacious and open to the sea. It is a place built around its setting rather than on top of it, and it consistently leaves guests calling it the highlight of their Seychelles trip.

Days here move between adventure and stillness: snorkelling and diving over healthy reefs, water sports, boat trips to neighbouring islands, a spa tucked among the boulders, and long, unhurried meals that guests describe as a journey in themselves. What visitors mention again and again, though, is the people, an attentive, genuinely warm team that makes the whole experience feel effortless.

The experience

Accommodation is entirely pool villas and residences, set into the granite so each has privacy and a wide sea view. The resort has several restaurants, from à la carte dining to themed evenings, and its kitchens are happy to build around dietary needs, with strong plant-based options that guests single out. The Six Senses Spa sits among the boulders overlooking the water. Beyond the resort there is snorkelling and diving on the house reef, kayaks and paddleboards, sunset boat trips, and easy day excursions to La Digue and the other inner islands. Honeymooners are looked after with private beach breakfasts, couples’ treatments and sunset cocktails on a private rock.

The setting

Félicité is a small granite island off the east coast of La Digue, ringed by reef and covered in tropical forest. Six Senses Zil Pasyon is its only resort, which is much of the appeal, the beaches, boulders and viewpoints feel private. It is reached by a short boat or helicopter transfer that the resort arranges from Praslin or Mahé, both connected to the international airport.

Our stay was nothing short of magical. Félicité is one of the most spectacular places we have ever visited, and what impressed us most was how seamlessly the resort is integrated into its natural surroundings. Our villa was spacious and beautifully designed, and every member of staff was exceptional.

5.0 "Crazy Expensive but if you can afford it, do it!"

Everyone needs to get there own private island. Setting was so beautiful we though we cold have been on a movie set. Loved bird island and the sommelier was awesome. The bleached reefs were heartbreaking though; cyclone damage reportedly; recovering so hope they come back quickly. Memorable week, but crazy expensive, if you can afford it, do it!

5.0 "Fantasticly Private"

A great place to stay would definitely come back. The villas have probably the best views we ever had anywhere in the world and fantastic privacy. Every single person of the staff was just amazing, loved their job and made our stay very memorable. One thing I really missed was great coffee from a professional machine in the restaurants - this would be a great improvement for next time since we are for sure coming back.

5.0 "Amazing and Unique"

Very luxurious resort on the island of Felicité of Seychelles. Most part of the island is national Park, the occupied part by six senses is perfectly Installed in the nature. The hospitality service of Six Senses Zil Pasyon is outstanding, the locals and the expatriate workers are doing their best to provide a 6 star level service. The view from each Villa is just amazing and unique. The kitchen of the restaurant offers very high quality and sumptuous dishes. The experience center of the resort has brilliant special activities for the ones who desires actively discover the beauty of the surrounding nature, what can be the local Coral nursery or a sunrise morning hike on the top of the hill of Felicité.

5.0 "Ultimate Luxury "

Ultimate Barefoot Luxury at Six Senses Zil Pasyon - this hotel is incredible. Eveything from the luxe private villas, to the beaches, to the impeccabile service make this place a slice of heaven! My husband and I had such a wonderful week away in Seychelles and Six Senses gave us forever memories. The spa is remarkable and the perfect place to recharge your batteries. The island itself is beyond stunning with natural beauty from every angle. Last but not least their sustainable practices make it a hotel brand I feel proud to support. They are nearly plastic free and do their part to make a positive impact on their enviroment. Not many hotels have a sustainability manager but Six Senses does. I highly recommend Six Senses as the top hotel in this incredible corner of the world!

5.0 "Overall amazing!"

Our Ocean view villa was stunning. The interiors are beautiful, thought through and nicely designed. The terrace and its view speak for itself. The staff is wonderful! Everyone is incredibly attentive, friendly and always with a smile on their face. We felt so welcome and everyone made our stay on the island unforgettable. Our Gem Shania was always available for helping us with anything we needed and made us happy with her smile. The island itself is a true bliss. The nature is unbelievably beautiful with its thick tropical vegetation and the incredibly shaped granite rocks. We could not get enough of looking at them. The villas are perfectly hidden with their discrete design. As for activities (during Covid) we got regularly updated on what was possible, what we really appreciated. We could go for hikes, jogging, snorkel, swim, watch nesting sea turtles while Neil was sharing his extensive knowledge about marine life and even go kayaking to the neighboring Island. The food and drinks were amazing. The kitchen staff created a full and extensive vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Overall a luxury resort exactly as you would dream of. We will definitely go there again.

5.0 "Amazing island"

Neil did a great job accommodating us for a spontaneous lunch. High customer service. Beautiful island. Both Julias from the restaurants are very friendly too and very well trained. Amazing for such a remote island in the middle of nowhere.

5.0 "Unforgettable"

Our stay at Six Senses was amazing! The hotel is beautiful, rooms are big and truly outstanding (what a view), and the spa is great. The food was good and the theme nights compensated for some lack of variety. Experience center could organize more activites, be more inviting and courage the guests to take part in them. We Shout out to our GEM Saman, who really made a difference in our stay going above and beyond to accomodate our needs!

5.0 "Secluded Island Paradise"

Our family had the most amazing week's stay at the gorgeous Six Senses Zil Payson Resort and it was just what we all needed. We decided to get the helicopter to take us there which was incredible and definitely the best option as it was only 20 minutes from the mainland. We were greeted by the staff on arrival and whisked away via a buggie to our accommodation. We were staying in the Signature Two Bedroom Pool Villa, which has the most incredible views over the ocean and surrounding palm trees. The villa was a lot bigger than we thought and there was plenty of space for the four of us, it felt really secluded and the pool area was gorgeous. We could also walk down to the main area which took just over five minutes or so. Over the course of the week, we managed to do quite a few of the experiences that they offer such as the Boules and BBQ down by the beach which was incredible, the kayaking over to Coco Island, the wine cellar dinner, lunch on the beach, deep sea fishing, a boat trip for the day and finally the hilltop sunset experience which was stunning- we would recommend any of these and it's something a bit fun and different to do as the resort itself is quite small. The resort was laid-back and it felt like we had it to ourselves half the time, the Grand Anse beach was paradise and the boulders everywhere on the island are amazing, we also got to see some turtles nesting a few times which was really special. The food was always incredible and you could request whatever you wanted and we had a lovely Creole themed night one evening which the lovely Julia told us to do and they really pulled out all the stops for this and it was nice to try the local food. They also cooked our fish that we caught from the deep sea fishing experience one evening, which was delicious and prepared different ways. The staff at the resort were really what made our trip unforgettable, they were extremely friendly and good fun, a special mention goes out to Sam (our GEM) who went above and beyond for any request we had and was so bubbly and sweet, Julia, Nishanta and Indika who we really got to know over the week and always had huge smiles on their faces and were lovely and chatty and their service was excellent. We hope to come back in the not so distant future and experience the resort when life is back to normal.
