We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. From the start to finish everything was perfect. Machabee sits on the north coast of Mahé, part of the Glacis stretch where the road runs high above the sea and the view opens up at every bend. Beau Vallon lies a short drive south. Some beaches and coves are reachable on foot from the apartments, but the coast here is steep and spread out. Guests who rented a car said it made the difference, letting them reach restaurants and quieter beaches with ease. The drive from the airport takes around forty-five minutes across the island. A car is not essential for a quiet stay, but it turns the north coast from a view into a place you can move through.
