The lush gardens and the Creole-style cottages climbing the hill are what give it its character.
The rooms are spacious cottages, many with an open-air shower that guests single out as a small delight, set among dense tropical planting. Because the property runs up a hillside, the hotel keeps buggies and drivers on standby to carry you and your bags to your door at any time, a detail that comes up warmly in review after review. There is a spa, a pool and a restaurant, and the breakfasts and dinners are described as beautiful and varied.

Beautiful hotel resort, staff was professional and very friendly. We were happy that they had drivers on standby, to bring us to our cabin as it was located on the hill side. The cabin was very nice and outdoor shower was a fun experience. Thanks for the great memories of your wonderful island.

Everything was very good, although when we got the room we were a little scared because of the distance of the route and the altitude. After it turned out that the hotel's baggies would pick us up and drop us off at any time, the hotel met all our needs. We recommend it to everyone!

Anse Sévère sits on the north-west coast of La Digue, a short and flat bicycle ride from the ferry jetty at La Passe, which makes it one of the easier parts of this car-free island to reach. The beach here is calm and good for snorkelling, with the reef close to shore, and the north-coast beaches run one into the next along the quiet lanes. La Digue is crossed almost entirely by bicycle and ox-cart, and a short ride south brings you to Anse Source d'Argent, the beach of pink granite boulders that is among the most photographed in the world. Ferries connect the island to Praslin in fifteen minutes and to Mahé in about an hour.
