It is an intimate place of around eight units, and it holds an excellent 4.8 stars from more than one hundred and ten reviews. Spectacular ocean views, spotless, well-furnished apartments and a genuinely warm, multilingual host are what fill the reviews.
The apartments, including a penthouse guests single out, are beautifully furnished, super clean and well equipped for an independent stay, most with a terrace or balcony that opens onto the ocean, a view reviewers call something else. There is a private beach area with warm, calm water right there, the location is handy for shops within walking distance, and it sits conveniently close to the airport, the jetty and the beaches, which makes it easy for a first, last or longer stay.
The hosting is what guests remember most. Henri, the owner, and his team are described again and again as helpful, caring and genuine, speaking several languages so there are no barriers, and generous with recommendations for restaurants, shops and things to do nearby. Guests write of the place being beautifully decorated on arrival and of wishing their holiday were longer. It is that heartfelt, personal care, matched to a stunning view, that lifts the stay.
Pointe au Sel is a quiet, scenic point on the south-east coast of Mahé, between Anse Royale and the beautiful beaches of the south, a green and largely residential stretch with lovely sea views and calm water. It is well placed, within a short drive of the airport, the local shops and restaurants of Anse Royale, the Takamaka rum distillery and some of the island's finest beaches, Anse Soleil and Anse Takamaka among them. Victoria, the capital, is a reasonable drive north up the coast. We had an amazing stay in Bacova Sur Mer’s penthouse apartment! The apartment is well equipped, super clean and has the most spectacular views of the ocean! The location is great and close to anything. Henri, the owner, is very helpful and friendly, so is his staff. We enjoyed the private beach area, the water was warm

Pointe au Sel is a quiet, scenic point on the south-east coast of Mahé, between Anse Royale and the beautiful beaches of the south. It is a green, largely residential stretch of coast with lovely sea views, calm water and small, sheltered beaches, away from the busier north of the island. It is well placed for exploring the south, within a short drive of the local shops and restaurants of Anse Royale, the Takamaka rum distillery at La Plaine St André, and some of Mahé's finest beaches such as Anse Soleil, Anse Intendance and Anse Takamaka. The airport is around twenty minutes north up the east coast and Victoria a little beyond. Mahé is the main island, home to the airport and most of the country's people.
