✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerCoco de Mer Hotel sits on the ocean at Anse Bois de Rose, on the quieter south coast of Praslin, and it is a family-run hotel in the best sense. It runs to around fifty rooms across a large green property, and it holds 4.6 stars from close to a thousand reviews. Guests describe superb hospitality and a genuine warmth that comes from a Seychellois family who clearly care about the place.
The grounds are large and well organised, with several pool areas and enough space that it never feels crowded, quiet and intimate even when full. Rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is singled out again and again, and the whole hotel is kept immaculate. There is an adults-only wing for couples who want extra calm, and the restaurant has a reputation of its own for elegant, unfussy food.
The service is what guests write home about, warm, caring and attentive, from the welcome onward. The owning family's commitment to the island and to running the place well comes through in the reviews, and it is that personal care as much as the setting that people remember.
Anse Bois de Rose is on the south coast of Praslin, a calm and green stretch about ten minutes from the jetty at Baie Sainte Anne, with the island's ferries and boat trips close at hand. The Vallée de Mai palm forest is a short drive inland, and Anse Lazio and the north-coast beaches are a little further. For a warm, well-run oceanfront hotel with real Seychellois hospitality, Coco de Mer is a lovely choice and one we happily recommend.

Probably one of the best hotels and restaurants I've ever stayed at. Elegant and refined, never overdone or self-serving, but aimed at enhancing the well-being of guests. I learned from a local guide that the family who runs it, originally from the Seychelles, is sincerely committed to sustainability and the preservati

Anse Bois de Rose lies on the south coast of Praslin, a calm and green part of the island about ten minutes by car from the ferry jetty at Baie Sainte Anne, which makes it an easy base for boat trips to La Digue, Curieuse and the smaller islands. The coast here is quieter than the resort beaches of the north, with mangroves and a nature reserve nearby, and the Vallée de Mai, the UNESCO palm forest where the coco de mer grows, is a short drive inland. Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, two of the most admired beaches in the country, are on the far side of the island. Praslin is reached by a quick flight or the fast ferry from Mahé, and a hire car makes the most of it.
