Anse Possession sits away from the busier south of Praslin, which is much of its charm. One honest point to weigh is the beach directly in front. Guests disagree about it. One called it magical and a single step from the chalets, while another said the beach in front is not worth it and that a car makes the good beaches easy to reach. The chalets sit on Praslin's north coast, between the long sweep of Côte d'Or and the village end at Anse Boudin. It is a quiet stretch, and a hire car changes everything here. With one, the island's best known beaches, Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, are an easy drive. The boat across to Curieuse and its tortoise reserve leaves from Anse Boudin, close by. The Vallée de Mai and its rare palms sit inland at the centre of the island. Praslin is reached by ferry from Mahé, roughly an hour, or by a short flight, and the north coast is around a half hour drive from the jetty at Baie Sainte Anne.
