Bed & Breakfast · Anse La Mouche, Mahé
★★★★★ 4.7 (99 Google reviews)
✓ Verified listing · Official Seychelles Tourism registerBlue Lagoon sits right on the water at Anse à la Mouche, on Mahé's gentler south-west coast, and the first thing most guests write about is how close the sea is. Every room here looks out over the water, each one comes with its own balcony, and the turquoise of the bay is the view you wake up to. Reviewers keep reaching for the same word, spotless, and they mean it about the rooms, the bathrooms and the shared spaces alike.
Rachel, who runs the place, is named again and again in the reviews. Guests describe a warm host who answers questions clearly before arrival, meets them properly on the day, and quietly makes sure everything is in order. Several honeymooning couples mention arriving to find the room prepared for the occasion. The rooms themselves are called bright, airy and comfortable, with generous, modern bathrooms that come as a pleasant surprise at this price.
The garden is part of the pleasure. There is a pool set among the greenery, a stretch of quiet where you can sit with the sound of the water, and the beach a few steps beyond. Anse à la Mouche is a calm, shallow bay, better for a long swim and an evening float than for surf, which suits the honeymoon and slow-holiday crowd the place tends to draw.
What comes through the reviews is consistency. This is a small property run with care by someone who is present, on a beach that stays quiet, at a price that keeps guests calling it good value. The 4.7 rating across nearly a hundred stays is earned by the ordinary things done right, clean rooms, a real host, and the sea a balcony's width away.

Anse à la Mouche is a wide, sheltered bay on the south-west coast of Mahé, about a twenty-five minute drive from Victoria and the airport. The water is shallow and calm, good for swimming and kayaking, and the sunsets here are among the island's best. A handful of restaurants and the well-known Anse Soleil and Anse Louis beaches are a short drive south. A hire car makes the coast easy to explore, though the bay itself and its few shops are walkable.
