About Bambous River Lodge
The apartments and garden are the heart of it. Guests describe very spacious units, kept light and airy and pristine, set in a beautifully maintained garden with the pool at its centre. One family stayed eleven nights and loved it, while another called the two-bedroom villa impeccable, clean, quiet and safe. A welcome drink on arrival and stunning views set the tone, and the whole property has the feel of somewhere genuinely cared for.
The setting balances seclusion with access. Bambous River Lodge is nestled away from the main roads for real peace and quiet, yet everything you could want is a short walk away. Guests point out shops around five minutes off, a secluded beach only five minutes away, and watersports, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet-ski and a casino all about fifteen minutes on foot, so you get a hidden-away base without being cut off from island life.
Two honest notes help with planning. Guests are clear that a car is a must here, as the property is uphill and it is a walk to reach food and shops, and the lodge is not new, with some older fittings, one reviewer noting that the locks were rusty and stiff to operate.

Amazing chill - quiet and the stunning view. Its MUST to have a car once you think about this place. Its uphill and quite some walking to any food or shop. Secluded local coves lie within a short walk, the coast road links quickly to Beau Vallon and on to the capital, Victoria, about fifteen minutes away, and the steep, green hills make a hire car the natural choice for enjoying this elevated, tucked-away part of the island.
