What the journey is like

It sounds like a lot, but it is genuinely easy and rather lovely. An hour across open water to Praslin, a short stretch of your legs on the jetty, then a quick fifteen minutes to La Digue with the granite peaks growing ahead. Arriving at La Digue by boat, with its old harbour and the bicycles waiting, is one of the nicest arrivals in the Seychelles.

La Digue needs no car at all, but the connection through Praslin does reward a little planning. Tell us your sailing and we can have a rental car waiting at the Baie Sainte Anne jetty on Praslin if you are stopping there, or arrange a bicycle for you on La Digue. On Mahé before you sail, we cover airport transfers and car hire too.
