The Cat Cocos high-speed catamaran takes approximately 60 minutes. You depart from the Victoria Jetty on Mahé and arrive at Baie Sainte Anne on Praslin.

How do I get from Mahé to La Digue?

Cat Cocos runs a daily service. The ferry stops briefly at Praslin (you remain on board) before continuing to La Digue. Total journey time is approximately 90 minutes. On weekdays, you can also take the Mahé → Praslin ferry and then transfer to a separate Praslin → La Digue ferry (15 minutes).

How much does the ferry cost?

Economy Class for Mahé ↔ Praslin costs approximately €55 one way for adults. Business Class is approximately €85. Praslin ↔ La Digue is approximately €15. Infants under 2 travel free.

How do I get from the airport to the ferry?

Shared shuttle buses run by Creole Travel Services connect Mahé Airport to the Victoria Ferry Jetty for €10 per adult. Allow at least 2 hours between your flight arrival and ferry departure. Look for the Creole Travel representatives in the arrivals hall.

Do I need a car on Praslin?

Yes — a rental car is highly recommended on Praslin. Beaches like Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette, and the Vallée de Mai are not easily accessible by bus. SeyBooking delivers free to the Praslin jetty from €45 per day. Your car is waiting when you step off the ferry.

Is the ferry comfortable in rough seas?

Yes. All Cat Cocos vessels are fitted with Ride Control, a system that dampens vibrations from choppy seas. The crossing is comfortable year-round. That said, seas can be rougher during the southeast monsoon (June–September), so if you are prone to seasickness, consider sitting in the lower air-conditioned cabin rather than the upper deck.

What if I miss the ferry?

If you miss the Mahé/La Digue or La Digue/Mahé departure, your ticket remains valid only for the Mahé/Praslin portion. You will need to arrange your own transfer between Praslin and La Digue separately.
